Every moment of every day, all kinds of history is being made…. in politics, sports, business, science, entertainment … and the list goes on and on. Some of those moments are ordinary, some are special, and some are historic.
Family history is made whenever two or more family members spend time together. Day in and day out, much of our family time is spent just doing the ordinary activities of life… cooking and eating meals together, sharing the day’s news, playing, relaxing, reading a bedtime story, walking and talking, fussing and discussing.
Some of the times we spend with our families are significant, special, and even historic! Those are the times when someone in the family is snapping pictures, shooting video, and/or employing a professional photographer. We can all think of those times: birthdays, holiday gatherings, vacations, graduations, weddings, the zoo, amusement parks, and championship soccer games.
I’m going to share with you some of my family history and stories about other families. If you have ideas for making and recording family history, I welcome your comments.

I, Joyce Linder, am the Mom of four wonderful children and the Nana of 5 precious grandchildren. So, yes, I’m “all about family”! I am so thankful for all the blessings, challenges, joys, and even the tears that are part of being in a family.
I taught English for many years, and now I own a delightful online children’s store. Many people have urged me to start a blog in order to drive traffic to my store. (I do hope you’ll visit it sometime.)
Yet, perhaps this blog will become more than a marketing tool. Hopefully, it will be a place to share ideas about family, children, special occasions, family history, and ways to record family history.
